Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Awareness Month. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, but we can combat it. FCR is committed to providing a safe and comforting environment for all and raising awareness, breaking the stigma, and talking openly about mental health. DV 101 Registration OPen!

Registration is now open for the Fall session of FCR's 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training Course!

The course will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm - 7pm, starting on September 16th. The class is $250 for 10 sessions. If you are interested or have questions about the trainings, please reach out to Zoe Sachs at zoe.sachs2@fcr-ma.org. We hope you will come and learn more about DV and how you can help support survivors in your community!

Through our Domestic Violence, Mental Health Counseling, Supervised Visitation, and Intimate Partner Abuse Education programs and our multi-lingual 24-hour hotline.

Through FCR’s Transitional Housing Program, we provided 26 families with emergency safe home services, and provided 24 additional families with permanent housing and support services.

hours of virtual support

During the pandemic shutdown, we continued to serve through virtual educational training and support groups, reaching over 3000 community members.

 
 

“I don’t want my daughter to grow up thinking that it is acceptable for a man to abuse the mother of his child or any woman. FCR has given my daughter and me the chance for a safe and healthy life,” said a grateful Sarah, 17 years old, who is now on her new journey to a better life with her daughter.
