Healthy Relationships Program

What is the Healthy Relationships Program?

Family and Community Resources works with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro South and Friends and Mentors Inc. (FAM) to provide healthy relationship training and awareness activities to youth ages 12-18 in the Brockton Community.

  • This is a youth-centered, paid program where teens design and lead all content. Through peer leadership, they gain experience, become role models, and educate other youth in the City of Brockton about healthy relationships, preventing sexual assault, and ending teen dating violence.

  • We meet twice a week to talk about dating abuse — how to spot it, speak up, and stop it in our community.

Topics We Cover:

  • Boundaries

  • Unhealthy Relationships

  • Physical, Sexual and Mental Abuse

  • Fundamentals of Communication

  • Intersectionality

  • LGBTQIA+ Community

  • Social Media Expectations

  • Mental Health

  • And More…

Real Talk: Healthy Relationships

Being in a relationship should feel safe, respectful, and supportivenot scary or confusing.

🚩 If someone tries to control you, make you feel bad, or ignore your boundaries — that’s not okay.

💚 A healthy partner respects your limits and listens when you speak up.

Don’t wait for things to get worse. Just because something isn't “that bad” doesn’t mean it's healthy.

You deserve love that feels good. Always.

And there is NEVER a reason for someone to hurt you — physically, emotionally, or sexually. Ever.
